Proudly Serving the Communities of Welland and Pelham.
Meals on Wheels began in the Niagara Region in Welland in 1967. Grimsby, Beamsville and West Lincoln began delivery of hot meals in 1971, 1972 and 1990 respectively. Over the next eight years six additional services were added to the program in Welland and in 1998 Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln Meals on Wheels formed West Niagara Community Support Services, offering five services. In 2000 Welland Meals on Wheels/Community Support Services and the West Niagara agencies joined together to form Community Support Services of Niagara (CSSN) becoming a region wide multi-service agency.

It is our mission to help seniors and adults with disabilities live independently in their own homes. Unfortunately, many of our clients are on limited incomes and can’t afford to pay for the services even though we offer very reasonable fees.
All of your donation dollars are directly used to help clients who cannot afford to pay for services. Your donations can help a senior or an adult with a disability keep their homes clean by subsidizing their homemaking services, or they can be used to help pay for the installation of grab bars and other assistive devices through our Home Maintenance and Repair program. Your donations can be used to help a client get a ride to medical appointments or pay for their meals from our Meals on Wheels program.
You can rest assured that 100% of your donations are used to subsidize services for our clients with limited incomes. Donations are never used for administrative costs.
